The 6 months certificate program is being designed to facilitate the skills of the students so that they are gainfully employed at various levels in Logistics Sector. This certificate program also emphasizes on developing personality, management and communication skills. After completion of the certificate program, the student will have better understanding about the Materials Management, Warehousing and Distribution Centre Operations, Logistics and basic Statistics. The prospective job opportunities after completion of this program are inventory clerk, courier delivery executive, forklift operator, Telesales Representative warehouse picker/packer, Data feeder warehouse.

Course Objective

A three years Under Graduate Management Programme at JIMS is an intensive, rigorous and methodical study designed to:

  1. To help the students in understanding the role and major functions of logistics in a market-oriented society.
  2. Provide them with comprehensive analysis to have better insight into key contemporary issues and problems in logistics management.
  3. Reinforce the importance of using total supply chain costs in all analysis and techniques for measuring and managing supply chain uncertainty.
  4. Development of critical and analytical Skills to efficiently administer varied managerial positions.
  5. Aid in the development of reflective thinking techniques, thereby contributing to growth of entrepreneurial skills.

Ist Installment (Payable at the time of Admission)

Rs. 73,000 {Rs.65,000 + Rs. 5000 (Security Deposit) + Rs. 3000 (Student Activity Fund)} payable at the time of admission.

IInd Installment

Rs. 65,000 payable by December 31, 2021.

IIIrd Installment

Rs. 70,500 {Rs. 67,500 + Rs. 3000 (Student Activity Fund)payable by July 31, 2022.

IVth Installment

Rs.67,500 payable by December 31, 2022.

Vth Installment

Rs. 73,000 (Rs. 70,000 + Rs. 3000 (Student Activity Fund) payable by July 31, 2023.

VIth Installment

Rs. 70,000 payable by December 31, 2023.

Fully air-conditioned, spacious lecture halls and custom-built seminar rooms, equipped with latest audio-visual aids, provide an excellent infrastructural back-up for academic interaction among faculties and students.

JIMS’ library is a veritable storehouse of information with ample text and reference books, national and international periodicals and journals. Well equipped and fully computerized library provides latest research and reference material in print and audio-visual formats along with the facility to refer to e-journals, Project Reports, Government Publications etc. To cultivate values in students and enhance their personality, the knowledge storehouse has an array of books on social issues and historical readings. The reading rooms provide a conducive environment for better learning and concentration.

All the Computer labs are well versed with access to internet with a speed of 10 Mbps along with wifi connectivity in the whole campus.

Apprenticeship

An apprenticeship is a system for training a new generation with on-the-job training and often includes some accompanying theories to be studied in classroom environment. Apprenticeship is provided to develop “skilled workforce for the future”. The main aim is to learn adequate skills for gainful employment at various levels of managerial cadre in the Logistics Industry. Students get hands-on training which gives them a real chance to put their skills into practice and helps them to gain more confidence in a working environment. Students are equipped with technical and core skills needed to take on new jobs, both for today and in the future.
